I do not know what happened today but I had the WORST DAY bowling in my life I will blame it on my right foot which is giving me a A BIG pin or the fact they had T my foot is a big pain in the butt.OO much oil on all the lanes. Excuses sound good but Sam had a Great Day so I gues

Today we went to Alec's end of the year program for the pre k students. It was very nice and they sang patttiatiac sons , he was really in to the singing. He had quite a group there 3 great grandmothers,2 great grandfathers, 2 grandmothers and his mom and dad.

Hi I have not wrote on our blog for quite a while, but today i finally had a GREAT day bowling. I do not know what happened but I had a 122 game 1 130 game 2 and a 168 game 3 in game 3 I only had I open frame that had a 9. I was truly happy and felt very confident throwing that darn bowl. So I was a very HAPPY women today, I beat Sam all 3 games Yay.

Yomorrow is Sam's 86th birthday lst evening we went to the Pub restaurant in Camden for dinner to celebrate his birthday. We all had too much food and we were very well treated and all brought doggie bags home with us, so guess what we will have for dinner tonite, you guessed it leftovers, yum yum.
Today at bowling Sam had a high game of 199 we were so disappointed that he did not hit the 200 mark but he was happy 5 strikes in a row. His next game was a 103 so you just never know, but his favorite saying is IT'S ONLY A GAME, my favorite is IT's BETTER THEN SITTING AT HOME. we really enjpy bowling 3 days a week and have met so many wonderful friendly people.

Tomorrow is Sam's 86th birthday ,to celebrate we all went to the Pub Restaurant in Camden and had a wonderful evening. We all had to much food and all brought Doggie bags home with us so guess wgat we are having for dinner tonite, you guessed it lestovers, but that's OK.

Today at bowling Sam had a high of 199 we were so sorry he did not hit the 200 mark, but he was happy had 5 strikes in a row. His next game was a 103 so that' s the way it goes up and down.

Sam's favorite saying is IT'S ONLY A GAME. and mine is IT'S BETTER THEN SITTING AT HOME. We really enjoy going bowling 3 times a week and have met so many nice people.

I guess you all know that I try my best but cannot seem to get my bowling act together for quite a while now , I was in a bad SLUMP,but today I started to come out of the slump. The high was a GREAT 164 (good for me) as Lou who bowls with us on fridays and is a GREAT bowler had a 165 so I felt good that I was able to keep up with her so maybe better days are a head.

I know I will do better.

As you all know I am not too good of a bowler on Monday I had 7 strikes in 3 games so that was good foe me.. Somedays I cannot buy a strike and go for days with out one little strike. So if I can just remember to get my arm straight up I do much better I am starting to get more confidence in myself, I'll keep you informed so keep your fingers crossed for me that I do better.

Bowling lessons

Wednesday Nan my bowling partner on wednesdays received bowling lessons from the mAnger of the bowling. He used to be on the tour for bowling (profession) and also a Glassbor boy and went to school with our son Joe, he gave me many hints as to what I was during wrong and I had 3 spares and one strike so if I can remember all of his instructions I should be a better bowler. Time will tell.

I am getting the hang of it.

Well after some really MISERABLE days of bowling and getting really discourged things are starting to look up JUST A LITTLE.I did good on friday and had a nice day 145 the first game then down hill a 95 ugh. the third game a 156 so I felt really encourged and seem to getting my confidence back, hope it continues but as we say it is always better then sitting at home,

Monday ajune 28th Sam and I celebrated our 63rd wsdding anniversary, it was a very warm muggy day in 1947 we were married at 10:00 am in St, Andrew Lutheran church in South Perkaise, Pa it is the church that I attended as a child were I was Confirmed also. So after many moves Silverdale to Lansdale to Pitman, Nj from Broadway Pitman to Wesley Avenue in Pitman on to Glassboro to Turnersville to Sewell and twice to Newtown Commons I became good at packing.

Now 4 children 7 grandchildren and 8 greatgrand children we are a great big family so Life has been Good to both of us,

The Wedding

The wedding was a very nice affair we all really enjoyed every single day of our time in San Anders.We went on so many tours in an open air island style bus on a trip around the island and many beaches some were just breath taking. The boat ride was a truth experience since we had to take a barge out to the boat the return trip on the barge was scary for me as we had to jump from barge to dock I just froze and a man from boat just picked me up jumprd to the dock and carried me to beach.
The wedding on the beach was just beautiful just like a scene fro a movie if you look at Kathy's pictures you will understand, the reception and dinner after was very nice and all the decorations were so lovely there was a show two couples dancing they put dancing with the stars to shame so good. Then came a festival band which we all loved too plus watcing all Marcela" relatives dance Alec was up there jumping and having a good time. WE left to come home wednesday morning flew to Panama and had a 6 hour lay over and off to JFK and arriving there at 2'30AM the bus picked us up arrived at tom' house at 6:00am and home for us at 7:00 am it was a wonderful time and so glad we were able to attend this happy time for Ryan and Marcela.

Sam and I spent the last two weeks in the Bahamas (our time share) we love the nice warm weather and seeing all our friens from Florida, Tenneessee, Missouri and Canada but its good to come home too. We came home saturday nite about 9:30 pm enough time to unpack do the laundry open two weeks of mail py the bills and get one day of bowling in to see all our bowling friends. Tomorrow nite at midnite we will all meet at Tom's house and take a bus to JFK to fly to Panama and then on to San Andres for Ryan and Marcela wedding which will be on the beach. It will be a really interesting vacation and everyone is looking forward to this time together. Sam and Anne Marie are taking Alec and Derek so it will be an good adventure for them as well especialy for Alec. Will fill you in after the trip.

We deserve this..... after a really miserable winter ,snow snow and more snow then came the rain so much people were bailing out their basements etc.

Now we have the most beautiful weather sunshine and really warm weather temperature in the 70's and oh how we are enjoying every bit of it.

It will be a beautiful Easther Day in the high 70's so every one can show off all their new spring clothes, Yay Yay.

Now we are waiting the birth of the twin boys due to arrive on monday morning we are thinking of you Brian and Rachael.

Snowy Bowling Day

We had snow again today but not as much as the weather people had predicted so Sam was not about to stay home. He addicted to bowling only 3 people showrd up because of the weather. They gave us a really good lunch it was just another man and the two of us to bowl and I did pretty well for my self and kept up with both of them really well. I ended up with 7 strikes(in 3 games) while Sam and the other fellow only had 2 so it was a good day and as Sam always says IT IS BETTER THEN SITTING AT HOME I am so glad we took up bowling.

Today was a great day for Sam at bowling he had a high of 222 now that is a really good score. He had a clean game that means he had either a strike or spare in every frame. We were all so HAPPY for him. My scores are a different story my high of 132 then it was all down hill,BOO BOO but Wednesday is always another day.

After 26 inches of snow on saturday we now are getting clobbered again it started as snow then rain ,sleet and snow again everything is at a standstill so we have to just satay in and look out the window.

Yesterday the sun was shining around noon when we went to Pa. for the juneral of Clyde (sam's brother) , I just know the Angels were looking down giving him a nice farewell.

The New Year

I have not blogged for quite a while, not that we were not being active I guess I was just lazy and to busy reading all the kids blogs. We still go bowling 3 days a week some days are good scores just days not as good as we would like, but Hey it is only a game and sure beats sitting at home.. Our family just keeps growing and we love it with 3 new little boys in 2009 Dereck in February Gio in March and Connor in April and twin boys due in April Brian and Rachael that will make 8 Greatgrandchildren for us 7 boys and only 1 girl .. WE are looking forward to the wedding of Brian and Marcela in May it will be a Happy time. We still go to the Krazy Kat on saturday nights ,which we have been doing for many years, so life was good for us in 2009 and look forward to 2010.

Special Day

Yesterday August 23 rd was a very special as two of our greatgrands were christened at Richwood Methodist Church by Jim Davis, who is also Derek's greatgrand father, Giovannia Stefan was also baptised so it was a double special. The babies were adorable in their special christening outfits and very good babies for the ceremony. We all went to Tom and Kay's house for a wonderful BBQ, it was wonderful despite the high humidity and every one had a great time.

?You just never know

Yesterday when we went bowling we split up Sam bowled with anothe couple and I bowled with a mother and daughter. The mother is 88 years old , and can only see out of one eye and is left handed but has a 134 average, pettry good. The daughter is great has a 176 average and often bowls over 200 which she did yesterday. Well then there was me, 125 first game, a 91 2nd game, how embrassing then I guess I caught on fire and bowled a 180 had only 2 open frames, it made my day a good bit brighter. Sam says IT IS ONLY A GAME. now everyone says that and I say HEY IT IS BETTER THEN SITTING HOME. So goes to show the older generation can still have a good time.

Utah Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in Utah with Sally/Paul and family. Paul is a wonderful tour guide and loves to show people the great sights of Utah. We rode the ski lift at Sundance ski resort went to the BIG parade in Salt Lake city it is called the Pioneer parade and it was quite a parade. LOts of motorcyle police city, statepolice and the sheriff dept.. And so many beautiful horses either walking or pulling wagons, no fire trucks plus about 40 beautiful floats and many bands.
We went to the great salt lake and to Antelope Island and island in the lake it also has herds of buffalo's which get luck to see, off to the great Kennecut Bingham Canyon Mine,where Eric works it is an awesome sight eric pointed out the building where he works,he is a mechanic working on repairing the huge machinery that brakes down. The mine is the largest Copper mine in the world, we also went out to see Eric and Jackie"s horse and it is a very nice looking horse. We had dinner at Natalie and Ethan's house on sunday they are great cooks, we also got to see their 4 chickens who keeps them in A Good supply of eggs we all went to a Japanese Steak house for dinner we all enjoyed the little show the cooks do to entertain us while they cook in front of us. Kade was fascinated by all of this Addie not to sure. I took a Ryan Howard tee shirt for Kade and the look on his face was priceless when we told him it said Ryan Howard on the front as that is his favorite player, Addie got a little Princess tee shirt which she even slept in the first night.

It was a good vacation on the down side was thie cat Sophie was sick and did not make it 2 days later she was a good kitty cat trip home was good until we got into Phila. bad weather had to sit in plane 1 hour 15 minutes before we could get off because of really bad weather. Chris went with us her first trip out to UT and I believe she will go back again Thanks Sally and Paul

Happy Hour

Today is Happy Hour day at the Cardinal Village retirement Home, Sam and I started that when we were living there, it was a big hit with some of the residents. Today we took two of our friends vover with us as one LC ,a bowling friend, is selling her home and will most likely move to Cardinal. It will be a good move for her as she has no close relatives in the area and poor eyesite and can no longer drive. . Sam and I always take a 6pack of O'Doul's over with us and it disappers fast quite a few of women realy like it. Although we only lived there for 15 momths we did make many good friends.

we DID THE USUAL GOING TO PARADE IN APITMAN OK PARADE IF YOU LIKE FIRE TRUCKS AND CONVERTABLES EITH LITTLE GIRS RIDING IN AS MISS SO AND SO. tHEN THE PARADE AT WASHINGTO TWP. NICE PARADE THEY HAD SEVERAL STRING BANDS AND A A WONDERFULL DRUM AND BUGLE CORP CALLED JERSEY SURF PLUS MORE BANDS. cME BACK HOME AND DECIDED TO SKIP THE FIREWORKS AND GO TO THE KRAZY KAT INSTEAD A LOT OF PEOPLE THERE SO I GUESS THEY DECIDED TO SKIP FIREWORKS ALSO BUT JOE THE MUSIC LEADER AND OWNER GAVE ALL THE WOMEN A SPARKLE AND THEY PLAYD A PATROTIC MUCIS NUMBER THEN HE SAID OK LIGHT THE SPARKLES AND SO WE HAD OUR OWN FIREWORK DISPLAY. WE HAD A FUN EVENING AS USUAL AT OUR SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE KRAZY KAT.

Today I believe I had the worst day bowling I had one game of 79 now that is bad next game 120 that' an OK next game of 93 . How embrassing. The side is Sam had a good day average of 157 not bad. Maybe Friday I will get my act together and make a better showing.

Yesterday we met Jackie /Eric and Chris at the ahollywood Cafe in Woodbury Heights for lunch before they had to go back to Utah in the afternoon. Chris and Eric/Jackie did a lot of horse talk now that they have a horse to add to their many dogs and cats. We enjoyed their visit .

Today June 28th is Sam and I 62nd wedding anniversary we are truly blessed to have a wonderful family two sons and 2 daughtersplus seven grandchildren four boys and three girls six greatchildren five boys and one girl. We went to dinner last evening at Vallari's one of our favorite resturants and then off to the Krazy Kat our regular saturday nite doings. WE always say IT IS BETTER THEN SITTING HOME.
